Since Term 2, the students of Darnum have tended our vegetable garden. This week, they harvested some of the lettuces. Together they picked, washed, chopped, tossed and served a delicious salad made from their very own produce!

This week, Cycle 1 class, Darnum, had a very special visitor! Daniel, our principal, joined us and he brought along one of his favourite books called ‘Bronte: Me and My Boots.’ The children loved sharing Daniel’s story and discussing how it connected to their own lives and experiences.
Baking success

Recently, the students of Darnum’s class baked delicious shortbread cookies! To celebrate Easter, the cookies were shaped like eggs, bunnies and chicks. The children also learned about rebirth and the meaning behind these traditional Easter symbols.
Harmony Week

Darnum Purim Celebration

This week, Darnum class celebrated the Jewish festival of Purim! Hannah joined us to tell the Purim story and to explain the reasons behind the celebration. We also made masks so we could participate in the tradition of dressing up.
