Coronavirus Information

By 28/01/2020 No Comments

You would be aware of the concerns raised around the novel coronavirus and, in line with many of the nearby independent schools, we advise the following course of action:

  1. If you have travelled to China in the holiday period please notify Susie Karklins (Admin at Caulfield), Mario (Business Manager) or Gay Wales (Principal) that you or members of your family have been in China during the holiday.
  2. If you or a member of your family have returned to Australia subsequent to 14th January 2020 we request that you:

Remain absent from School for the full incubation period of the virus (14 days) only returning to School if  no symptoms are displayed.

For instance, if you arrived back to Australia on 19th January your return to School, assuming no symptoms are displayed, would be on Monday 3rd February.

3. If you have travelled to China and returned prior to 14th January assuming you or your child does not display    any of the symptoms associated with the virus, attendance can be as normal.

We do not take this decision lightly and are only taking this measure in the best interests of all members of the Melbourne Montessori Community which I am sure you will understand.
