Melbourne Montessori school offers the Montessori Careers Program (MCP), which incorporates the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL). This program is for students who are interested in TAFE or an apprenticeship, and students who need a more individualised education.
Recently, for their work-related skills class, our MCP students took part in an excursion to help them research potential careers.
They attended a careers expo at Beaumaris Secondary College and talked to professionals working in diverse careers and industries that the students might be interested in. The excursion was an interesting way to take a serious look at potential career pathways. As an MCP student, I really enjoyed the experience. The program has helped me blossom as a person and has given me great opportunities.
