Our future chess grand masters showed some clever and strategic moves on the board at a recent inter-school tournament.
A team of dedicated chess players from Melbourne Montessori College put in a strong performance at an inter-school chess tournament at St. Pauls Primary School, Bentleigh on Friday, 31 March.
A total of 16 schools competed in the event with MMS placing equal 5th overall. Our best player on the day, with an impressive score of 5, was Sebastian Turkopp.
